We were in Portsmouth for 1 day, had fantastic stay, the hotel was clean with marvellous and enjoyable location in the residential area. Location: the venue was just next door to the outlet shops, the IOW and Gunwharf Quays.

Fairly clean hotel in a lovely building very close to the ferry terminal for Gosport and HMS Warrior, and restaurants of Gunwharf Quays. Efficient staff with a good portion of humor. Had excellent and incredible location next to everything, around 4-6 minutes away by foot from Gunwharf Quays❤

dirty, horrible, cold, needs a complete revamp!! dirty dirty dirty. Broken window, can hear trains all night through the single glazed partly open windows.

Booked for 1 night mainly due to location, we didnt expect much after reading the reviews and they were right !! Stayed in room 15, dark and cramped. Wobbly toilet and view that looked out onto a fire escape. Some sort of boiler/generator kicked in at 6am right outside the window. Breakfast i think had been reheated, bacon like bullets !!

Cozy room, convenient location, with easy access to off-site car park and nearby dining options, particularly enjoyed the spacious bathroom compared to other hotels.
Loved every thing.

Free parking facility, superb location, helpfulness and attitude of staff, provision of bar and a good breakfast.
Due to location noise from outside, but this was overcome by use of earplugs. A bit run down but not to the extent that it marred the stay ( one night).

It's location - opposite Gunwharf Quay and by the ferries to the Isle of Wight and Gosport. Given it's position it was also surprisingly quiet; I had a good night's sleep. The breakfast was also good and plentiful.
I've stayed in worst budget, solo traveller hotels ... but I've also stayed in better. Maybe a bit more attention to decor might help. And some towel rails in the bathroom (mine had none so there was nowhere to hang my damp towel).

Oh mate, the breakfast was a right treat! Proper poached eggs, crispy bacon, and sausages that hit the spot. Plus, the location is great-just a short stroll to the dockyard. Can't forget to mention the clean, comfy room that felt just right for us.
Now, I had a bit of a bother with the WiFi dropping out and some noise from the other guests. But let's be real, it didn't ruin the fun of our stay!
